Many Egnyte users have received one or more emails from Egnyte advising them that Egnyte Desktop Sync is no longer supported after year-end. They are not withdrawing the product itself, just support of it. That said, we'd like to get the conversion to the new Egnyte Connect Desktop App finished by year-end.
We have developed and are deploying processes, procedures and user education about this change. The new Egnyte Desktop Connect App is quite good, and we've been using and testing it for a year.
We are in the process of reaching out to all Egnyte Desktop Sync users with a transition plan based on when we believe will be the best timing for converting to Connect.
